KULTURMAMA
facilitating learning and dialogue through storytelling and play
Since 2015 I’ve had the pleasure of reading and discussing literature with the most discerning of audiences: preschoolers. I’m a die-hard library fan with a flair for creative storytelling and a LOVE (in capital letters) of a well written, beautifully designed picture book.
I’m deeply committed to diversity and representation in kids-lit, and to holding age appropriate conversations with children around themes of social justice, helping support the development of the emotional competences needed to be equitable, global citizens in our modern world. Through my alter-ego, Kulturmama, I organize English language story corners and offer resources for caregivers to help them engage in having "big conversations with little humans."
